Bowling

We went bowling the other day with the Wynes, Reynolds, Stimmel and Boyd family. Talk about mad craziness. I was just waiting for them to kick us out. We had a lane for the kids and the lane for the adults. While we were there the kids managed to set an alarm off by sticking their finger in the ball machine, push the reset button several times, break off the net on the ping pong table, etc. Of course this all happened in the first half an hour we were there. After that the kids kind of mellowed out and either sat for a few minutes or found something else to occupy them. They had a lot of options we were in the BYU game center. After about 4 frames most of the kids were over bowling and they did other things like play air hockey, so we got to use their lane as a practice lane:) Krew, Payson and Tyken just kind of hung out and we played musical babies as each person bowled we just handed off the baby to the closest person.

Relay for Life

Relay for life is a event that raises money and awareness for cancer. This event started at 5:00pm on May 16th and went all through the night until 7:00am the next morning, they had people sign up for one hour time slots and Erin and I had the 2am time. We were just walking and talking and after awhile we decided to ask what time it was and it was already 3:30 am. We could not believe it. Time flew, it was fun, I am glad I was able to help raise money to fight cancer and have a great friend to talk to in the process. Thanks Erin for getting up at 2 am to do this with me! Laie's small Relay for Life was able to raise around $12,000. If you get a chance to walk in one, do it! It's free to walk and sponsors donate money for each person that walks.

Corissa Taylor's Visit

Corissa came to visit me for a couple days, she was out here on business at the Big Island and then hopped over here to Oahu to see ME! We spent our day at sunset beach, then we stopped at Ted's Bakery to get the ever so famous chocolate haupia pie, YUMMY, a crab and bacon sandwich and sadly they were out of their corn bread, maybe next time. Then we headed to Hale'iwa to check out the shops and she had to get some bags at Matsumoto's shave ice, for her girl friends who told her she had to go there and get shave ice but I talked her out of getting the shave ice there and had her try Angel's instead, because EVERY BODY KNOWS that Angel's really has the BEST shave ice on the island and if you live here and have never tried it SHAME ON YOU, repent and go get some at Angel's. If you would like a more detailed explanation of this truth feel free to call me, or just go try it and there will be no explanation needed!!:) Then we got home and Corissa and I went to the PCC to see the night show. Then on Friday we went to Waikiki to check out the strip and Corissa got some souvenirs at the International Market Place, then we took her to the airport and she was on her way, it was a short trip but it was nice of her to come and visit and I LOVED IT! Thanks Corissa! By the way for those of you who don't know who Corissa is, she is a good friend I grew up with in Washington.

Memorial Day

We spent our Memorial day at Ko'Olina Lagoons with the Southwicks, Potts, Boyds, Stimmels and (in spirit) the Wynes family. They drove an hour and fifteen minutes to join us only to find out the parking was full, so they turned around and left:( While at the lagoons we went over to the J.W. Marriott and checked out the baby hammer head sharks and the sting rays, Kali really liked watching them. Aaron took Krew out for a swim which Krew enjoys after the initial shock of the water. Payson and Krew spent their day hanging out under the umbrella's, I am sure they were catching up on good old days before they came to earth. They are like two weeks apart. Kristy is enjoying the froggy, so cute! Leah and Ella enjoying the water and of course pretty boy Jacob with Mary, what a cute little boy, wouldn't you agree?

Brylie and Food Fest

After Kali's nap today she woke up and wanted to play with Brylie, she has really enjoyed playing with her lately. Anytime she hers her voice she freaks out and wants to run down stairs and see what she is doing. Brylie lives right below us, I wonder if they can ever hear us jumping? Angie, can you? Just a random thought. Anyway, I knew food fest was going on tonight and they always have a jump house, which Kali is obsessed with, so we went and got the Wynes family and headed over to food fest. I will post pictures after I get them from Angie, she was the photographer for the evening. It was fun they has an obstacle course bounce house that Kali really wanted to go on, but I wasn't sure if she would be able to do it all by herself, so they let me go with her, she did most of it by herself and she loved it, she had me do it with her twice. I have to admit it was pretty fun! So the best food of the night (drum roll please) was the spring rolls. They were tasty. Kali would tell you it was the ice cream.:) It was a good night, good music, good food, good company.

Playing CATCH UP!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!
HAPPY THIRD ANNIVERSARY TO AARON AND I !!!!!
This month two very special occasions have come and gone which I have not yet got to blog about so I am catching up. First of all my mothers birthday, my mom was in California for Nate's graduation on her birthday and Nate and his friends for her birthday surprised her and took her to see WICKED! She said is was just amazing, and since Nate has the hook ups they were sitting center, three rows back VIP! Doesn't get much better than that! Now a little something about my mother, she is the most amazing women, I notice a lot of different things that I do that I learned from her example which I am forever grateful for. Here are some examples, she taught me that your husband always comes first and he always gets the biggest and the best. So when you cook dad gets the best piece of meat and the biggest portions of everything. She taught me to sacrifice for your children, her whole life has been devoted to us kids, she may not have liked to do everything that we wanted to do, but she did it anyway to make us happy. She has taught me that families always come first NO MATTER WHAT, that the gospel is our foundation and it will always lead us in the direction we should go, she has taught me by example to trust in the Lord in all things have faith. My mom is the biggest spiritual giant in her little framed 5'6" body. It was funny because my friend called me today and asked me to pray for her husband and she said, "your spiritual, so it will probably be more effective if you are praying for him," and I said, "I guess I should call my mom than and have her pray, because I don't know anyone more spiritual than her"!!!! It is true though and I am so grateful for her example in my life. My mom is so unselfish, I have to wonder if she ever thinks about her self, I know she is constantly thinking about her children, husband and people in her ward. You are an amazing women and I am so glad to be able to call you my mother!!!!

Aaron and I have been married three years now. I love that man more and more each day. I am so glad he is the man I chose to marry, no one could make me happier. He knows just what to do to brighten my day. I never imaged how great married life is, nothing is better to me than being able to share your whole self with some one, knowing each others flaws and still loving them, loving that person for their good and their bad. I love you Aaron and I can not wait to see what the future holds for us and to get to be with you through it all and for eternity:)

Cleaning - My little helper

After a week of Kali being sick then me getting it from her and being sick our house was a disaster and I was so tired of it not being in order that I freaked out and could not stop cleaning. Luckily Kali decided to jump in and help rather than get mad at me for not giving her the attention she needed and deserved. I didn't even say anything too her I just started vacuuming and then doing dishes and then started cleaning the rooms and Kali without saying anything just observed me and decided she wanted to help so she got out the cleaning spray and first started on the kitchen floor and then went to the bathroom and started cleaning the toilet, I couldn't believe it she was doing such an awesome job and I didn't tell her which spray to get or what to clean, she did it all on her own. She must have watched me do it before because she did it perfectly. I was a little nervous at first and wanted to help, but I just stood back and watched and was very impressed, now my house is clean again, and I am a much happier momma!:) Thanks Kali!

Spear Fishing

Aaron has been spearfishing every chance that he gets. It was cute when he came home the other day Kali was so excited to look at the fish and touch them and hold them, she came running into the room and told me, "mom the fish are huge"!

Perfect 10

Kali scored a perfect 10 in all of her events!! She did her floor routine all by herself, she kept telling me that when she finished, "mom, I did it all by myself"! She did and it was awesome. She also did her bar routine by herself, she straddled and put her toes up on the bar twice. And for her beam routine she walked across it twice, I helped her part of they way, then she finished by her self and jumped off and finished, arms up in the air. Excellent job Kali! Kali is the youngest out of all of the performers, they usually wait to start kids until they are three, but Kali does just as good or better in her skills than the girls in her class and she is only 2. Thank you Erin for coming and supporting Kali, and helping juggle the kids and the camera's you are awesome, I appreciate you so much!!! Also thanks to Auntie Shilo for being just a great coach for Kali.
