Trick-or-Treat

Kali the sweet pumpkin
and Krew the tough football player
headed to main street in Walla Walla to get our trick-or-treat on with the Barberich family.
Krew and Kali had the time of their life running from store to store getting a pumpkin
full of candy. McKay and Mallory were their little partners in crime:)

Krew was so fun to watch. He caught on REALLY fast,
he could not believe all he had to do was say, "trick-or-treat,"
to the ladies with candy and they would give him some!
Thanks Barberich's for inviting us to trick-or-treat with you, it was so much fun!

the perfect pumpkin

We were in search of the perfect pumpkin.

To start this adventure off we jumped on the hay ride and headed over to the pumpkin patch.
The search began
Kali wanted the BIGGEST ONE,
but quickly found out that the biggest ones are REALLY HEAVY.

Krew found his perfect pumpkin.
and Kali found hers:)

Krew wasn't so excited about the idea of taking pictures,
he refused to look up at me.
All of our pumpkins. Sure, Krew will smile for Grandma:)
Kali found a 15 pounder!
Kali with Grandma in the pumpkin patch.
Another great day at the Country Mercantile!!!

Kali recites 6 of the Articles of Faith

Kali is working on the 7th article of faith
and wanted to recite it for the video
but doesn't have it fully memorized
so I told her to wait to record it,
that is why she was disappointed at the end.

smurfs

We found a smurf home in our neighbors yard and could not believe how big it was.
the mushrooms in our yard look like this.
I wonder what kind of fertilizer our neighbors use?
We thought we had found a huge mushroom until
we went on one of our nature walks and found three of these monster boletus mushrooms.
pretty cool, huh.
They are edible.
I was going to cook it up,
but after looking online and
trying to find the best way to cook it,
I read something about how they grow well even in areas with
high metal content in the soil, that scared me;)
I decided maybe after I am not preggo, we will try one.

Country Mercantile Harvest Festival

We took the kids over to Grandpa's Country Mercantile Harvest Festival and they were in Heaven. We started out on a train ride where Max entertained us with his jokes and tour around the Mercantile.
Next, it was time to try out Grandpa's new roller coaster. Kali loved it and could not get enough. Krew on the other hand told us it hurt his ears. He came off saying, "sorry guys, it hurts my ears." :) I am not sure if he didn't want to admit he was scared or if it really hurt his ears?
The kids wanted to get their faces painted and Kali knew as soon as she saw these dolphins this is what she wanted. Krew thought he was so cool to be batman. He wanted to show everyone.

The kids enjoyed some popcorn and cotton candy and took a picture with Grandma.
Krew thought he wanted to ride the ponies, but after he had road around a few times, he decided he wasn't in the mood today. I was kind of surprised because he has ridden on a big horse before and LOVED IT, maybe these ponies are just to small for him and they just went in a circle, boring, right?:) or maybe it hurt his ears???
LOOK HOW TALL THEY ARE!!
We had races through the straw bale maze...
and climbed the straw bale pyramid. Kali made it to the top!

We got lost in the Corn Maze, I have heard several people make this comment,
I need to ask Max if there is really a way to get out??
We made our own exit.

We visited the petting zoo.

the poor goats and sheep still need names.

This was our first weekend there and the kids are excited to go again! We still need to take the pumpkin ride out to the pumpkin patch to pick the PERFECT pumpkin. Kali spotted one she wants to take home, it looks like a 50 pounder. She said, she wants the biggest one. Stay tuned for this next week, we will see.

CONGRATULATIONS!

BRANDON AND CRYSTAL!
Friday, September 10th and around 9:30 a.m.
Jadyn Crystal Beazer entered this world
10 pounds 5 ounces.

I am just LOVING these precious pictures of Jadyn and Crystal!

on this particular day

as we went on our daily walk through the woods, Krew was cracking me up.
We walked by this rock and Krew ran over to it telling Kali and I we needed to come look at it and touch it.
Next was the fallen tree trunk, he ran over to it and told Kali and I to touch it, to not be afraid, it wouldn't hurt us.
I just loved it, he was enjoying nature and wanted Kali and I to experience the same wonder that he was.
Nature is amazing, wondrous. God's creations. Everything is so perfect and so amazing.
I have really enjoyed having these walks and enjoying nature, on some days we see deer, other days are squirrels, woodpeckers, un-normally huge ants, snakes, and frogs.
Kali and Krew have been watching Kung Fu Panda and love practicing their moves.
They decided they wanted to practice their jumping/flying skills.

The kids always love to run along the road on the way to our trails, they are getting fast.
They have gravel piles set up since they are repaving the roads and Krew loves climbing up them and running down.
This is a perfect example of my children lately:
Kali : Krew, give me a hug. (Krew not so interested)

Kali : ok fine, how do you like this? (pop of the arm)
Krew goes flying and Kali is amuzed.
Krew estactic to see backhoe, he jumped on it and scooped up Kali:)
Road closed to cars while they are working, but not to pedestrians:)
I can never get them both to look at the same time so I had to post both pics.
