"no more birthdays"

My husband wrote that on the calendar next to his birthday.  I had strict orders not to mention to any one or throw any sort of party for him.  Sorry Aaron, I could not help myself.  I have to celebrate birthdays:)  So this one was a REAL surprise.  Thanks Hillary for the pictures of us singing to him :)

Then Angie got a hold of the camera and this is what she captured.  Krew.
Nate, sneaking cake and cookies.

The girls playing dress up with all of Hillary and Jocelyn's clothes :)
Tyken giving Krew huggs :)
and my personal favorite, baby Kali
Happy Birthday Aaron, I Love you
and I am so grateful for you in my life!!!!!
You are my Sunshine :)

the sun is out :)

So of course we took advantage of the beautiful beach.  We headed along the North Shore bike trail.  We didn't get to far, it was such a hot day we decided to spend the whole day playing at Keiki Beach.  We found this fun swing along the way.

The water was so blue.
The kids had a great time rolling down the sand hill.

As you can see all smiles from the Keiki :)  It was so nice we seriously just relaxed and talked while the kids entertained themselves.

Krew was excited when Jocelyn showed up.  Krew is now officially walking!!! YAY KREW!  and Jocelyn is almost there, she took 12 steps the other day.  GO JOCELYN !!

What a perfect day!

my man

LOVES ME! :)

I received a text from Hillary Sunday morning that said, "enjoy your walk to church."  I was so curious as to what she was referring too.  When I walked out side this is what I found.  LOVE NOTES FROM MY MAN :)
It made my day!  Thanks Aaron!!

Thanks to Chad and Melissa we have been doing better about weekly date nights.  Last week we were able to meet up with Aaron's step-brother Max, who was on vacation with his high-school band.  They performed three different times through out the week.  It was nice to get to spend sometime with him.

look mom, it's a boat car

This is my Kali girl.  Thumb in her mouth and her silky blanket.

We were driving on the H1 the other day and we saw a truck pulling a boat.  Kali looked at it and said, "huh, look mom, it is a boat car."  :)

While sitting in sacrament meeting Kali looked up at me and asked, "mom, why are you crying?" I leaned over to her and replied, "because I am feeling the spirit."  With a puzzled look on her face she said, "do you not like him?"  Doing all I could to not laugh out loud, I lean over and explain to her that the spirit is the Holy Ghost and sometimes when you have a warm feeling inside it makes you cry, but it is a happy cry.  I guess she was satisfied with that answer, she didn't have anymore questions.

I was reading a book to Kali and I started crying because it was touching, it was about a father and his daughter, Kali noticed I was crying and asked, "why are you sad?"  I told her sometimes when I cry it is a happy cry.  When it was Kali's turn to read the book and we reached that same part where I started to cry she stopped and looked at me and made a weird noise.  I asked her what was wrong.  She said she was trying to cry like me.  I laughed.  Then she asked me if she had to cry during that part.  I assured her she did not have to cry.  Next time we read that book and got to the sad part Kali said, "mom, are you going to cry again?"   LOL :)  (don't worry, I didn't that time.)
