For Kali's school we went on a field trip to a water crest farm called Sumida Farms. It has been owned by a Japanese family for three generations. They showed us how to plant and grow water crest. They use fresh water from a spring to irrigate. We were able to play in one of the water fields before they started laying it down to grow. After they have fresh water down then they just take the water crest and throw it on the ground side by side and they let it grow. It was interesting. The kids had fun playing in the water and drinking from the fresh water hole where it drained into the fields.

How fun! Is that the place that is in the middle of town. Very cool. I just realized maybe I shouldn't read your blog anymore, I MISS HAWAII!!!
j/k I won't stop reading but maybe you could put something in your posts that would help me not miss it like how nasty the roaches are or ....ok I can't even think of anything else that is bad about HI. You live in paradise!
And I don't think Kali could get any cuter!
It sounds like they really do some cool and interesting activities for her school! Too bad we won't be there when Breanna's old enough to do that b/c I think it sounds great!
