OUR LITTLE PRINCESS
Kali Lyn Jones is turning 20 months on the 18th of Oct. She is getting to be such a big girl who knows exactly what she wants. I love these pictures with her shoes on because she is really into socks and shoes right now. That is what she sees daddy putting on all the time and so she wants to wear them too. She also loves to wear a "bow" in her hair. She has several different headbands with a flower but she calls it a bow. She is always sporting some sort of bandage, either Barbie or princess and she is starting to get interested in potty training since all of her older friends are doing that right now. So I got her some underwear that she always wears over her diaper and I told her she won't need her diaper any more as soon as she can always let me know when she needs to go shee shee or poo poo. Shee shee means pee pee in Hawaiian. Kali is talking so well. She loves to talk on the phone to all our friends and family. Sometimes she will just walk around the house talking on the phone even though no one is on the other end. Kali's favorite color is Blue just like her Grandpa Wood. Anytime I ask her what color something is she will always says, BLUE! Kali was funny when we were taking these pictures she said she had to stand by a palm tree. Then when I said, "say cheese" she would say "cheese, cheese, cheese" as she was looking around, but she would never look at me. Except of course her model pose when she was done saying cheese she would just look at me with out smiling. It made me laugh!

Bath Time
Kali loves bath time and now she always needs her bubbles! We got her some new bath toys and the one she is holding in her hand is an octopus. No matter what picture or object that I show her of an octopus even if they look so completely different, she knows it is an octopus. I would have to say that is her favorite ocean animal right now.

Kali Picasso
Kali's Uncle Nathan gave me the idea of buying a canvas and some paint and letting Kali go to town for her 1st birthday. She wasn't so interested then, she did a little bit and then we put the painting up in our room and every once in awhile Kali would say that she wanted to paint so we would let her do more. Now Kali is 19 months old and I think she has finally found her inner Picasso. She painted and painted and the finished product is definitely a master piece, people think we should put it up in an art gallery! I asked her to give me a big smile and as you can see she has personality. It looks like we have an artist on our hands.

Laie Elementary Carnival
We went the Laie Carnival and Kali had so much fun! They had all sorts of rides and food and activities for the kids to do. She tried her first bite ever of cotton candy, which she loved. (Of course, it is pure sugar.) She got to go on a train ride with her friends Seth and Eli and decorate Halloween pumpkin cookies. She spent more time eating the m&m's, chocolate chips and candy corns than decorating with them. She also did a bean bag toss which she thought was a blast because it had an octopus on it and she loves octopus. She only threw it once behind the line and she made it in, but I couldn't get her to stand behind the line after that she thought it was much more practical to walk up to the board and put the bean bags in the holes then she won every time and got to pick out a prize. So smart:)

Kali's Swimming Lessons
I have been teaching swimming lessons for a month now, and I get to teach Kali after my lesson and it has been so much fun. She is fearless, just like her father. She jumps in no problem and then she will kick her legs and blow bubbles, she will even let me help her float on her back. It is so much fun. The two toys she always has to have are Nemo and Dori when she is in the pool. If you notice the bandages on Kali's knees in the picture where she is jumping in the pool, this is because she is going through a bandage faze where she has to always have some on. So I bought her the princess tattoo one's that look like stickers. She loves them and always shows them off to everyone.

Pa'ina Water flourishing with Love
A Pa'ina is like a graduation from this session of school. The title of this session was Water Flourishing with Love. They targeted all the activities around water play. It was a fun session with lots of learning experiences for Kali. I have definitely seen her grow in knowledge and understanding this session. It was been very rewarding. For this Pa'ina they had little swimming pools set up for the kids and a makeup artist who made balloons for the kids and painted their bodies. For Kali's balloon hat she wanted the color blue, which is her favorite color and an animal on top which she chose a dog. Then she got a snake on her leg for her painting. She was so cute trying to hit the pinata, I have video of it and she has some pretty hard swings.
