Day at the Beach

I don't know what kind of a mother I am, I totally forgot my camera for Krew's first experience at the beach, although all he really did was sit in a car seat, it is still a momentous occasion. He is one month old now!! So crazy! Thanks to my awesome friend CRYSTAL BEAZER we were finally able to hit the beach again. Aaron was at work and Kali, Krew and I were about ready to go on a walk when Crystal drives up and asks if we would like to go to the beach with her! I was so excited because I haven't gone in over a month and I was missing it. It was such a nice relaxing time!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU CRYSTAL!

PCC

We took Kali to the night show at the Polynesian Cultural Center and she loved every minute of it, she sat there for an hour and a half with eyes wide open and when it was over she kept saying, is it all over? She was so sad. As we drove away she kept saying PCC all over? She had to get a picture with the star of the show, Uncle Benny (the fire dancer!)

D and E Building Party

We had a party for our building, it was so much fun, they had a bounce house for the kids, a slip and slide and lots of food!! Good Times! Kali loves the bounce house. She was sad when she woke up the next morning and the bounce house was gone. :(

14th Ward Iosepa Cup Winners!

Our ward won the 1st annual Iosepa Cup award, president Wheelwright is our new president at BYU-Hawaii and he started this award for intramurals. They are trying to make it a better program, so you receive points toward this award by wins, sportsmanship and participation, and of course since we have the best ward EVER, we won!! Aaron and I are over intramurals for our ward so we accepted the award with Bishop Chan. I had to laugh at these photos taken by Angie Wynes photography, the one I am looking through the award, Bishop Chan is like, "that is funny." Aaron is like, "what are you doing?" And president Wheelwright isn't sure what to think. It was a fun evening and I was impressed how well of a turnout we had from our ward, but I shouldn't be surprised,
14th WARD RULES!!!!

Mr. Incredible

I am so grateful for my amazing husband. If it wasn't for him, I would be checking myself into a mental institution right now! He has been my savior. I feel bad because lately I have had little or no patience, I don't know why. (maybe lack of sleep?), but Aaron picks up all my slack, he is extremely patient with Kali and makes me feel like I am a terrible mother for not being more patient and he has told me a million times all he expects from me is that when he comes home that I and the children are alive and safe. I am glad that is all he expects because that is about all I am accomplishing! You know things are getting bad when Aaron comes home and just covers his eyes and runs through the house so he doesn't have to witness what looks like a bomb has gone off. So why I am accomplishing keeping me and the kids alive and safe Aaron is going to school full time, working 50 hrs. a week, works out, when he is home he, watches Kali or Krew or both, does laundry, dishes, picks up around the house, tries to find time for homework and any other thing I might ask him to do. And he is happy and patient while doing it all!!!! AMAZING! I am so blessed to have such a wonderful man as my husband, he makes me feel so loved and he tells me all the time how great of a mother and wife I am. Thank you so much Aaron for being the man that you are!! I LOVE YOU! :)

Amazing Neighbors!!

This picture was taken by Angie Wynes, one of my amazing neighbors! She is such a talented person, she is crafty, she is a good photographer, a good singer and guitar player, a good cook and a wonderful friend! (I am sure she has many more amazing talents I have just not yet discovered them all.) I was a little nervous when my mom left because she would take Kali each day for me while I would rest and take care of Krew, but I don't know why I was worried, I have my amazing neighbors who will watch Kali for me anytime I am tired or need a break, who help take care of me. They must have all conspired together and decided not to sign up on the Relief Society list of bringing me dinners so that when my week was up they would all pick a day and bring me dinners for another week! I am so spoiled! And they have all been amazing by the way. We live in kind of a different situation than most people where we have two apartment buildings that face each other with a total of 16 apartments between the two buildings and everyday the kids go outside and play together between the buildings. It is a child's heaven, and I have learned a mothers heaven as well, I am so blessed to have these amazing neighbors who are also my best friends. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!

Explanation

I didn't dare try to write anything on the last blog. It was hard enough trying to get all the pictures to match up. So what do you think? They look pretty similiar, huh. I had thought about doing this and then Keiko asked me too so she could compare so I decided to get it done, Thanks Keiko for the nudge. :) A few other things I thought I would clarify, Deborah had asked about the two scars I now have from my two children. When I was two months pregnant with Kali I had an ovarian contortion (my ovary twisted) so I had a seven hour window in order to get into surgery before it would have died and I would have lost one of my ovaries. Luckily I was in surgery in the seven hour and my doctor saved my ovary. Yeah for my ovary!!! More importantly Kali was safe, (there is a high risk of miss carriage when you have surgery in your first trimester), but as I have now learned I will have one really scary bizarre thing happen with each of my children which leaves me with wonderfully healthy children and a pretty scar on my body. In both cases I guess you don't see many ovarian contortions or two knots in the umbilical cord, they see maybe one a year, so I am the lucky one, let me know if you know of any other bizarre things that happen during pregnancy or birth and I will just prepare myself for the next child.
