My Hoodlums

Krew and Kali looked so cute in their hoods I had to get a picture and Krew was quite the little stud in his little suit Grandma Wood got for him, it is a six month suit and he is only 2 1/2 months old. He is a big boy, makes daddy proud!!:) So Kali and Krew are so adorable together!! Every time Kali gives Krew attention and talks to him he smiles or giggles, he loves her! Every morning when Krew wakes up to eat at about 5:30 am he is such a happy boy, that is kind of my time with him while Kali is still asleep and he smiles and laughs for me, I LOVE IT! Heavenly Father knew exactly what I needed in my second child, one who is content just hanging out and is always happy and smiley and giggles, he brightens my day and I love him so much. He reminds me daily of Heavenly Fathers love for me. I have to be honest, these last two months have been really rough for me, I have been struggling getting use to the whole two kids thing, but lately when Krew laughs and coo's it makes it all worth it for me. A few things about Kali, she is such a smart little girl, she can count to 10 by her self and she is working on 11 - 20 but still needs some assistance. She can say her whole alphabet by herself and she loves to sing all of her primary songs and she loves to read books. She wants to go to the play ground any chance that she gets and has Aaron's dare devil personality, I can never push her high enough on the swings and she even shows me that she can let go while she is swinging. She is not afraid of heights and she wants to jump off of everything. She is even brave in the ocean and will put her head under all by herself. When she comes up she says, "I saw fishes and mermaids." Today she was showing me how fast she could peddle on her bike and I was having to run to keep up with her. When ever I am upset with her or she is getting in trouble she always says, "be happy, Mom." Which makes me want to laugh and makes me less angry.:) Last night Kali was supposed to be in bed asleep but instead I see this little person out of the corner of my eye and Kali comes up to me and says, "Mom, my toenail polish is all gone." She wanted me to repaint them so she could go to sleep, HA HA!! She has so much energy ALL THE TIME, but it is fun and she makes me laugh all the time with her cute stories and her fake talking on her cell phone.

Bowling

We went bowling the other day with the Wynes, Reynolds, Stimmel and Boyd family. Talk about mad craziness. I was just waiting for them to kick us out. We had a lane for the kids and the lane for the adults. While we were there the kids managed to set an alarm off by sticking their finger in the ball machine, push the reset button several times, break off the net on the ping pong table, etc. Of course this all happened in the first half an hour we were there. After that the kids kind of mellowed out and either sat for a few minutes or found something else to occupy them. They had a lot of options we were in the BYU game center. After about 4 frames most of the kids were over bowling and they did other things like play air hockey, so we got to use their lane as a practice lane:) Krew, Payson and Tyken just kind of hung out and we played musical babies as each person bowled we just handed off the baby to the closest person.

Relay for Life

Relay for life is a event that raises money and awareness for cancer. This event started at 5:00pm on May 16th and went all through the night until 7:00am the next morning, they had people sign up for one hour time slots and Erin and I had the 2am time. We were just walking and talking and after awhile we decided to ask what time it was and it was already 3:30 am. We could not believe it. Time flew, it was fun, I am glad I was able to help raise money to fight cancer and have a great friend to talk to in the process. Thanks Erin for getting up at 2 am to do this with me! Laie's small Relay for Life was able to raise around $12,000. If you get a chance to walk in one, do it! It's free to walk and sponsors donate money for each person that walks.

Corissa Taylor's Visit

Corissa came to visit me for a couple days, she was out here on business at the Big Island and then hopped over here to Oahu to see ME! We spent our day at sunset beach, then we stopped at Ted's Bakery to get the ever so famous chocolate haupia pie, YUMMY, a crab and bacon sandwich and sadly they were out of their corn bread, maybe next time. Then we headed to Hale'iwa to check out the shops and she had to get some bags at Matsumoto's shave ice, for her girl friends who told her she had to go there and get shave ice but I talked her out of getting the shave ice there and had her try Angel's instead, because EVERY BODY KNOWS that Angel's really has the BEST shave ice on the island and if you live here and have never tried it SHAME ON YOU, repent and go get some at Angel's. If you would like a more detailed explanation of this truth feel free to call me, or just go try it and there will be no explanation needed!!:) Then we got home and Corissa and I went to the PCC to see the night show. Then on Friday we went to Waikiki to check out the strip and Corissa got some souvenirs at the International Market Place, then we took her to the airport and she was on her way, it was a short trip but it was nice of her to come and visit and I LOVED IT! Thanks Corissa! By the way for those of you who don't know who Corissa is, she is a good friend I grew up with in Washington.

Memorial Day

We spent our Memorial day at Ko'Olina Lagoons with the Southwicks, Potts, Boyds, Stimmels and (in spirit) the Wynes family. They drove an hour and fifteen minutes to join us only to find out the parking was full, so they turned around and left:( While at the lagoons we went over to the J.W. Marriott and checked out the baby hammer head sharks and the sting rays, Kali really liked watching them. Aaron took Krew out for a swim which Krew enjoys after the initial shock of the water. Payson and Krew spent their day hanging out under the umbrella's, I am sure they were catching up on good old days before they came to earth. They are like two weeks apart. Kristy is enjoying the froggy, so cute! Leah and Ella enjoying the water and of course pretty boy Jacob with Mary, what a cute little boy, wouldn't you agree?

Brylie and Food Fest

After Kali's nap today she woke up and wanted to play with Brylie, she has really enjoyed playing with her lately. Anytime she hers her voice she freaks out and wants to run down stairs and see what she is doing. Brylie lives right below us, I wonder if they can ever hear us jumping? Angie, can you? Just a random thought. Anyway, I knew food fest was going on tonight and they always have a jump house, which Kali is obsessed with, so we went and got the Wynes family and headed over to food fest. I will post pictures after I get them from Angie, she was the photographer for the evening. It was fun they has an obstacle course bounce house that Kali really wanted to go on, but I wasn't sure if she would be able to do it all by herself, so they let me go with her, she did most of it by herself and she loved it, she had me do it with her twice. I have to admit it was pretty fun! So the best food of the night (drum roll please) was the spring rolls. They were tasty. Kali would tell you it was the ice cream.:) It was a good night, good music, good food, good company.
