OH, what a beautiful morning...

Oh, what a beautiful day:) Why am I so happy you might ask? I FOUND MY CAMERA!!! I freaked out Aaron, Mike, Kali and Brylie as I started screaming for joy as I look at Kali who decided to pull from one of her MANY purses, (insert heavenly music) MY CAMERA! It was such a crazy feeling, I honestly was feeling some what depressed these last few days and so confused, I could not figure out what I had done with it and I was sure I was losing my mind. I am now so happy because I can snap away again and you can continue to enjoy my picture blog:) So this afternoon, Kali, Byrlie, Krew, Tyken and (introduction, one of our newest neighbors) Axel (he turns 2 in October) all played in the pool and sprinkler. Poor little Axel didn't know what to think of the rambunctious little girls:)

I forgot to mention yesterday when we went to the beach Krew got dunked in the ocean for the first time and he was a champ! He didn't even swallow water or cough or anything, he just came up and looked at me like, is that all you got mom? I was totally prepping Crystal before I did it warning her he will probably freak out, that is what Kali did the first time we dunked her. Good job Krew, you passed your ocean initiation with flying colors:)

I scream, You scream, We all scream for...

Yogurt? I went to Costco on Tuesday morning and bought the box of yogurt which I am pretty sure contain 24 cups. I haven't bought yogurt in awhile which I guess would explain Kali's consumption. Today is Thursday night, I opened the fridge only to find 2 yogurts remaining, I have only eaten two, Aaron probably hasn't eaten more than two or three, I know Krew hasn't eaten any, which means Kali has consumed roughly 18 cups of yogurt in a two day period. Is this a cause for concern?

Where is my CAMERA???

I have learned something about myself. I do not feel like I can blog with out pictures. Many people are poetic writers which makes their blogs easy and fun to read whether or not a picture is present. I on the other hand do not fit under this category, so it freaks me out to not have some sort of visual stimulus for you to enjoy which makes you feel like I am a good blogger because I have wonderful subjects such as my children for you to look at and it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, it is because of these pictures that helps you want to come back and read my blog or should I say, look at my blog.:)

Since my camera is missing I have been freaking out inside, I have all these things I want to take pictures of but I can not! AAAAAAUUUUUUGGGGGGGHHHHHH!
For example, Kali is now going through the phase of changing her clothes like 10 times a day and I want to take a series of pictures of the outfits she puts together through out the day, she does a good job. Every once in a while she clashes, but for the most part it is really cute. I have heard many mothers talk about this phase and how it is irritating because they dirty so many clothes in one day, I am embracing it, now Kali is actually wearing ALL of her clothes and she is a pretty clean child so if they aren't dirty they just go back in the drawer till the next wear. Now all of her clothes are getting worn!! I LOVE IT!!! She even changes her shoes. LOL, she is wearing these cute glasses with this outfit she just put on, so cute! WHERE IS MY CAMERA!!!

We are currently saving (I know can you believe it, some people actually save money first before they go and buy something, unheard of) so I can get a cannon 40D DSLR, I can not wait, then maybe the pictures I post will actually look really good. I am excited about learning photography and hopefully making that one of my strong points in the next year or so.

Until then I will just continue tearing my house apart till I find my current camera.

Here is a picture of Kali and I at the beach. We went to the beach today with Crystal, she did have her camera so when I get the picture I will post it:)

Aaron and the Kids

Aaron has been so awesome and has given me some time to run errands or do whatever I need to do, while he spends time with the kids. I took Krew with me on Monday for Gina's "girls day" birthday because we were gone for the whole day, but Aaron took Kali and played with her all day. (except for the two hours where he worked out and Angie watched her, THANKS ANGIE!) Aaron said that Kali rode her bike to the beach and then to the school and then she wanted to ride it to the temple, but Aaron said it was too hot and so they took a break, but I thought that was awesome she wanted to ride it all over the place!! When I came home Kali had crashed in her round chair, I should have gotten a picture it was so cute, she looked like a Queen, Aaron had the chair on her bed and she was sitting on it with a blanket and she was passed out. I even said to Aaron it looks like she got royal treatment. The next day I asked Kali about her day and she said it was so much fun! Then she proceeded to tell me the events of the day:)
One day when Aaron was watching Krew I came home and they were both sitting, eyes glued on the T.V. and what were they watching, Deadliest Catch of course, it is either that, ESPN or news. It made me laugh because Krew was watching too! Thanks Aaron, I love you, and I appreciate the time you spend with the kids.

Happy Birthday Gina

This picture was actually taken one year ago, at Gina's birthday dinner at Bucco de Peppo. I have several fun pictures I will post from Monday's eventful day as soon as I can find my camera. I have seemed to misplaced it, and I can not find it any where, AAAAAUUUUUUGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!

This year is was girls day out. We started our adventures at the Bishop's Museum. Thanks to Gina, Jen and Sara we got in free since they work at the PCC. It was really interesting. We watched a presentation at the planetarium, learning about huge telescopes they have built on the top of Mauna Kea, a volcano on the Big Island. We learned about several constellations and how everything revolves around the north star. On the way home Sarah said, "Do you think the north star is heaven?" Just something to think about. Then we walked around and looked at some really cool art and ancient hawaiian artifacts. Then we headed to the volcano presentation where they showed us how volcano's erupt, they had a demonstration where they show you what an actual lava flow looks like. I also learned how the Hawaiian islands were created. So I started to explain it and realized I was doing it no justice, so I just googled it and here is a great explanation: read, it is interesting, this is for Corissa, who when visiting asked me this question, "Are all the islands volcanoes?" and I did not have the answer, and now I do!

Click here to see the complete explanation with pictures:

The beautiful Hawaiian Islands sit on the creator of the island chain, the Hawaiian Hotspot. The hotspot does not move. The Pacific Plate does. The plate carries the islands in a northwestwardly direction. As each island was formed it was carried away from the hotspot and another formed in its place.
The oldest major Hawaiian island, Kauai, was formed over the hotspot 6 million years ago. The Pacific plate drifted away from the hotspot, the Kauai volcanoes died out, and another volcano rose in its place to create the island of Oahu.
The process repeated and created a chain of similar islands. The volcanoes on the islands of Kauai and Oahu are extinct. Haleakala, on the island of Maui, is a dormant volcano. Volcanologists say that it is "due" for an eruption soon (within 100 years).
The island of Hawaii has 3 active volcanoes -- Hualalai, Mauna Loa, and Kilauea at 4,000 feet on the southern slope of Mauna Loa. Kilauea is the most active and its crater, Hakema'uma'u, is the Hawaiian volcano goddess' (Pele) home. South of Hawaii, the seamount of Loihi is building and will become another island in 10,000 years.

Last of all we went the the whale exhibition it had huge models of the different kind of whales, which will have to wait and be shown and soon as I find my camera, there are some great pictures from that!:)

After we left there we headed to China town for lunch and we randomly picked a restaurant that was amazing, everything we tried was tasty, even all of the desserts. Gina decided to order a few different desserts to try and they were all good! Next we hit up the Ala Moana Center did a little shopping and then it was off to Haleiwa Eats, a fabulous Thai restaurant were we saw like three different people we knew from our ward and friends, Cameron and Lindsay Rondo were their with their family who is visiting, Jordan and Rachelle Larsen and then Levin and Amanda Gunther were all their eating, like I said it is a fabulous place! So we each got something different to eat and shared, YUMMY! What a great way to end the day.

Something interesting about this day, Gina decided to invite all of her very best friends and none of us knew each other with the exception of me and Sara Duffin, we know each other:) And we all got along pretty well, we all had similiar personalities. She has good friends.

Happy Birthday Gina, I hope your day was all you expected and more!!

The cinnaMan challenge

Here is Kurt as promised. Thanks for being such a great entertainer. We had him try a few other things like drinking egg yolks, one with the yolk whole and one where you break up the yolk but it didn't faze him. Supposedly it is supposed to be harder to swallow the broken yoke, but he drank them both like a champ so it wasn't as funny as this one, ENJOY! (I just realized if you haven't already read my previous post you wouldn't know that he is trying to down a tablespoon of cinnamon.)
