Sunset Beach

PCC-Luau and night show

We had a great time with my parents, Nate and Coriann at the luau and night show. Unko Benny hooked us up with front row seating at the luau and was so helpful with Krew while I ate. He is awesome. It was my birthday month so I got to stand up and every one sang. Then when he invited up newly weds and anniversary couples to dance he invited my parents up as well. Then Kali got to go on the stage in the end with all the keiki and dance. It was such a good time.

Love, Unity, Service

Lindsay and Julianna watching as community help to protect their home

3:00 am I wake up to Krew crying. As I am walking into his room I noticed the sound of water running, it sounded like a faucet. I look outside, is it raining? It was, it was raining so hard it sounded like rushing water, and it didn't let up. 7:00 am loud thunder and flashes of lightning, the rain has not let up at all. Kali woke up and asked me, "does this mean Jesus has died?" She got that from the movie, The Testaments, since the conditions were exactly the same. I turn on the news, it had been raining since 11:00pm. Flash flood warnings. 8:00am all the men head out to start making sand bags. We walk out side, homes are flooded, rain still not letting up. TVA community gets together and tries to channel the water away from the homes. 11:30 am E building moms really want to help, we start making sandwiches, and hot cocoa. We set up a table next to C building and slowly every one came over and started to eat, grateful for something to fill and warm their bellies. 1:30 pm rain stops. 2:30pm sun comes out and birds are chirping. It was so awesome to see everyone working together with such love, unity and service.
