her favorite things...

Kali's 3rd birthday was full of her favorite things.

I fixed her all of her favorite breakfast foods:
oatmeal
strawberries, blueberries and grapes
eggs
toast
milk

she got to ride a horseswim with the dolphins

she was sung to numerous times, and got to blow out candles everytime which she loved

she got balloons

a lei

spent time with friends

received lots of new fun clothes

and other gifts

and for dinner, her favorite
steak and potatoes

answered prayers

One of my big new years resolutions this year was to be more patient with Aaron and the kids and to not get so angry. The actual goals I have posted up in my room are:

Be patient
Be Christlike
Be supportive
Be productive
Be healthy
Be calm

I have a strong desire to really change this year and become better, especially when it comes to patience and not so quick to anger. In this week my prayers have been answered in two books. The Love Dare which I posted about on Valentine's Day and the second one is entitled, The Soft-Spoken Parent.
Those of you who know me well, know I am not a big reader. Aside from the scriptures, I really don't read at all. But for some reason I felt like I needed to pick up this book which I borrowed from Melissa Crosby, like 6 months ago, SORRY Melissa:) it has just been sitting on my shelf until this last week I picked it up and started reading it, and it has 55 strategies on how to react in a more loving way. AMAZING!!!! I am so grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who hears and answers our prayers.
