39 cents

That is the amount I spent at Old Navy for Krew's new clothes. I got 4 pairs of shorts, board shorts, and 4 tops. When I was told how much I owed I asked her to repeat herself, thinking she must have said $39.00, but it was true, she said it again, 39 cents and that is what I paid. Thanks Grandma Tami for the gift card to Old Navy for Krew's birthday, it was so much fun to buy him such cute new clothes :)

Another fun buy was at the Disney store at Ala Moana Mall. They are moving locations in the mall so everything was 50% off, I got Kali two pair of pajama's and Krew one pair for $3.00 each and this cute fun tinkerbell hat for $1.50. She really thought she needed it with all the cold weather we get here :)

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Wood for the fun birthday package for Krew. He loved it!

Kali age 3 weighs in at 30 pounds, Krew age 1 weighs in at 20 pounds :)

THANK YOU Hillary for creating this AWESOME invitation

Krew is 1. We celebrated Hawaiian Style :)We had a dance floor, and the girls loved dancing around in their hula skirts.

Big THANKS to Chris and Asa for preparing the pig
Krew was so happy everyone came to celebrate with him :)
Here are the hula girls performing, I will try to find video of them, they were ADORABLE.

Big THANKS to Unko Benny for helping set up, DJ and MC and play his ukulele and sing
Big Thanks to Hillary for preparing the teri beef, tapioka and cupcakes. Thanks to Kat for the sweet potatoes and to Jana, Larissa and Cassie for bringing rice and cupcakes. Thanks to Ka'ala for answering my endless questions on how to prepare this Hawaiian Food. Thanks to Melissa, Kim and Hillary for helping me purchase all this food. I could not have done this with out all of your help. Thank you, Thank you!
Krew and Jocelyn sharing a first dance together :)
it's not a party without a jump house
aauuuhhhhh the cake. Everyone stop and give a moment for this most amazing cake, created by the one and only Angie Takahashi (Wynes). I know it is jaw dropping.
Krew was even amazed when he saw it. Is that really for me? :)
As soon as I set it down he just face planted into it. It was so funny.
He enjoyed it:)
Last but not least we smashed the pinata. Krew was not so into hitting it, he just wanted to look at it, but the other kids liked hitting it.
Angie THANK you so much for the amazing cake and for taking all these AMAZING pictures, these are only the ones she took from my camera, so I still have ones to get from her camera.

Thank you everyone for making this such an awesome day for Krew.
I love that my little man is 1.
He is 20 pounds, he will walk but only when holding onto something, ie. push cart, stick, toy
He is still a happy little guy, with a big smile and lots of laughs. He already tries to jump on the bed with Kali. When he was in the bounce house he tried to jump on his knee's. He loves to climb onto anything I will let him. He loves water, washing his hands, bathing, ocean. He never cries when he goes under water or gets water poured over his head. He likes to be outside playing on the stairs or on the playground. He likes to try and mimick sounds and words normally sounding out the first letter of the word. I will say, Krew go get the ball, and he will make the b sound. Today Melissa was showing him keys and he made a k sound. So he is working on his words. He does say mama and dada. Krew we love you so much and are so thrilled you our a part of our family! In Kali's words, "Happy Birthday little buddy!"

FLU :(

Sunday morning I woke up feeling sick, aching muscles, headache, nauseous, you know the works. Hoping it wouldn't be anything big, a 24 hr. thing I just woke up got ready and went to church. Let's just say it wasn't a 24hr. thing, it has been 4 days and I am still feeling the same. So I decided to take Kali and Krew to the doctor to get flu shots, (because they hadn't gotten them yet) oops. Then I went to the doctor only to be told I have the flu and they can't do anything for me :( Thanks to amazing neighbors and wonderful husband, I have gotten some sleep during the day. One thing about the flu you can never seem to get enough sleep.

So today after I go to the doctor I decide since my family has been dwindling away since I haven't been making or buying any food, I would try Pizza Hut's new pasta dishes. I got Aaron the lasagna, I got the spinach, mushroom and garlic and Kali got a cheese pizza. It was pretty tasty.

I was trying to nap while Krew was napping and Kali was "supposed to be napping," this is what I woke up to her doing. She was sitting on a chair next to the mirror and talking to herself in the mirror and then making faces. It made me laugh because Aaron use to joke about how he didn't need any friends, just a mirror. While sitting at my desk she also made these cute little decorations. She put a bead on the end of these little parasols's. She is so creative:)

After I came in and talked to her about what she had been up to she went over to the window concerned and asked me if the front door was locked becuase the mouse king was outside. The mouse king is from the movie, Barbie: The Nutcracker. The weird thing about that is I remember being afraid of the mouse king when I was little and having nightmares about him. weird.
Aaron took Kali to watch the big Seasider game, which was a HUGE upset. They lost by 1. Leading the majority of the game by 11 points. It was nice for me to relax and enjoy some quiet time with Krew asleep and Kali and Dad and the game.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

It was entertaining trying to explain to the girls what St. Patrick's Day was and why you have to wear green and why you get pinched if you didn't or punched if you ask Lili :) explanation here.
During breakfast St. Patrick's morning, Kali asked, "Where are we going to St. Patrick's Day?" I told her we didn't go anywhere for it we just celebrated by wearing green. She didn't like my response and asked again where we were going. I told her I didn't know where to go, and told her we could go somewhere if she knew where it was. Distraught and almost in tears she said, "but, I don't know where it is." It was so cute and sad at the same time. She wanted to go somewhere for a St. Patrick's day celebration. Well, this little girl is lucky to have such cool neighbors because when all the girls were napping a little Leprechaun (Melissa) left a trail of shamrocks for the kids to follow to a pot of gold. It definitely made Kali's day. Melissa started out by reading them a note the Leprechaun left explaining what they needed to do. The kids were so excited :)

They found the trail of shamrocks.
to the pot of gold.
yummy the kids were in heaven.
It was a lucky day:)
Krew in his little Irish outfit :)
Krew wanted some candy, he would put his hand out asking for some, but mommy was mean and said he couldn't:(
so he got over it and played on the stairs :)

Fisherman Quotes

I found these quotes while working on our Wood Family Reunion Book (yes, mom I am working on it) and if you are surrounded by fisherman like I am, my husband, my sister's husband and my brother-in-law, to name a few, than you might enjoy these:

There are two types of fisherman - those who fish for sport and those who fish for fish. ~Author Unknown

Fishing is the sport of drowning worms. ~Author Unknown

There's a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot. ~Steven Wright

A bad day of fishing is better than a good day of work. ~Author Unknown

The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad. ~A.K. Best

The gods do not deduct from man's allotted span the hours spent in fishing. ~Babylonian Proverb

Bragging may not bring happiness, but no man having caught a large fish goes home through an alley. ~Author Unknown

If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. ~Doug Larson

Give a man a fish and he has food for a day; teach him how to fish and you can get rid of him for the entire weekend. ~Zenna Schaffer

I am not against golf, since I cannot but suspect it keeps armies of the unworthy from discovering trout... ~Paul O'Neil

Even if you've been fishing for three hours and haven't gotten anything except poison ivy and sunburn, you're still better off than the worm. ~Author Unknown

Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn. ~Chuck Clark
