A full day

I woke up this morning feeling like I needed to go for a jog.  Something I have not done in a VERY LONG time.

So I loaded the kids in the stroller and off we went.  I decided to head up to the point.
We saw the Naupaka plant, which contains only half of a flower.  The other half is said to be up in the mountains.  Kind of a Romeo and Juliet story, with flowers :)

Kali decided to join me on the home stretch.
She also found some sleeping grass that she loves to poke at and watch close up.

Something else Kali is into lately, is picking flowers and giving them to me, Krew and her daddy, she says it shows us that she loves us.  After she gives me a flower she asks me if I love her, and I say of course I do.  Then she says, "Then where is my flower?"

She also has an eagle eye for rubbish and is sure we pick it up and throw it away.  It makes Heavenly Father happy when we keep the earth clean, is what she says as she picks it up.

Little Krewzer right now is a dancer.  When ever he hears music he is sure to move some part of his body.  My favorite is his happy feet.  He just gets those little feet moving so fast :)
And my children share the same love I have for my ice ice baby christmas snow man.

After our walk it was time to paint.
Well, Kali painted and Krew got bored after a couple of swipes and off he went to explore.

I couldn't find our paint brushes so Kali used a ball.  She didn't want to get messy.

next on the agenda, play-doh

Then nap time.
After they woke up Krew was quick to doing all those things I tell him not to do.
Krew, don't touch the buttons.
Krew, don't get into the cabinets.

Enough of that, we went out and played at the playground for awhile, did a little laundry, hung out at the Howard's for awhile, then Kali said, "Mom it is beautiful outside, we need to take a picture."  She is so good lately about finding good places to take pictures.  So helpful!

A few things Kali has said lately that I don't want to forget:

Kali:  When kids are whiny or sad they just need love.

She tells me this a lot now, when she is sad.

Kali: Mom, Can I go out side and play?

Me:  You need to wait for your dad or I to go with you.

Kali: Mom, when a child asks their mom if they can go out and play, they are supposed to say, “OK”.  You didn’t say OK.

While going for a walk the other day.

Me:  Kali let’s work on your third article of faith.  (We have gone over maybe four times.)  We believe that through…..

Kali:  Mom, I can do it!!  (AND SHE DID)

She memorizes things so quickly.

She wants to go into primary so bad with her friends, Lili and Brylie, it doesn’t help that Kaiya is out of town, she is her buddy in nursery.  So I told Kali our goal it to prepare for Primary by learning all 13 articles of faith before the new year.

This was a little weird last week:

Krew was only awake for 2 and ½ hours on Saturday, he woke up at 6:00 am went down for a nap at 8:30 am slept until 1:00 pm then was cranky again at 3:30 pm so I put him down and he didn’t wake up till 6:00 am Sunday morning.

So of course on Sunday he woke up at 6:00 am and didn’t fall asleep until 10:00 am and only had a 1 hour nap during sacrament meeting and was up the rest of the day until 8:00 pm

Day 4 - poolside/temple/airport

We spent most of our last day swimming in the pool, having a picnic and all taking naps pool side.  I guess I only took video of the pool play since I can't find any pictures.
After we were done, we considered heading back to the Volcano and checking out the black sand beach however that didn't quit work out in our favor.
We stopped by the temple to show the kids and take pictures, all temple pictures taken by Aaron Jones Photography :)

While at the temple Kali was swinging on one of the bars and fell back and cracked her head on the cement, which luckily only ended up with a huge bump on the back of her head and not a split wide open.  So we ran to the store for some ice and ibuprofen.  She never said it hurt and was coherent the whole time afterwards so I guess she is a pretty tough little cookie.

At the airport the kids spent most of the time throwing a ball..

and climbing and jumping off the wall.

Which of course we only let Kali do a couple of times, one fall is enough for one day :)

Day 3 - Captain James Cook Monument

Kealakekua Bay
Kali was so excited to get to Kayak over to the Captain James Cook Monument.
The whole time while in the kayak, she would said how fun it was and how this was the first time just me and Kali had been in a kayak together alone.
We had the blue one.
We walked over some lava rock to a path that took us to the monument.
After hanging out at the monument I decided to take a swim and check out the water.
It was so blue and even with out a snorkel or mask I could still see the colorful coral and fish.
I was kicking myself for not bringing one.
We got to see dolphins while we were standing there.
I have video of them jumping out of the water, I just didn't get any pictures of it.
When we got back to the hotel, I had this waiting for me outside, looking off our balcony.
When driving around the Big Island through the volcanic part you see peoples names written with white rock all over the place, just like this!
MY HUSBAND LOVES ME :)

DAY 2 - Kona Temple

What an awesome experience.
Aaron prepared his Grandma's (his dad's mom) name and his Grandpa's (his mom's dad) name.  So on:
June 11th, 2009 I was:
baptized
confirmed
received initiatories
and endowment
in behalf of Janet Rose.

It was the first time I have done all four ordinances for one person in a day.
The spirit was so strong, it was an awesome experience.  My testimony was strengthened that day of the truthfulness and the importance of the temple.
Aaron baptized David Lau in behalf of his grandfather Billy Roy Sonnenberg.
All four ordinances were performed for him that day as well.
I know that both of Aaron's grandparents are excited to finally have those ordinances done for them :)

A HUGE THANKS TO MOLLY AND TREVOR
for watching Kali and Krew while Aaron and I went to the temple!!!
When I went to pick up the kids, Molly told me that Kali was the first child that Jayden has played with that is actually the same age as him.  I guess it through him off a little because they were pretty much the same and she was telling him what to do, which he was not use too.  We figured out that Jayden and Kali and two weeks apart and Asher and Krew are two weeks apart.  Crazy huh!
Molly took us to the Waikoloa Resort and it was like a small theme park.  So much fun.  We first took the tram that you ride to get to your hotel room.
Then we took the boat around
We walked through a cave with a water fall and found the dolphins.

Then across the old wobbly bridge.
It was fun if too many people were on at one time it would start swaying.

saw the flamingo's and Nene birds (Hawaii state bird)

Jayden and Kali trying to be flamingo's

Jayden gave his mommy a flower and kiss, so precious!
Kali and Jayden climbing on the rhino...
and jumping off of it.

Thanks again Molly, it was a perfect day!!!
