Alligator Pond

Let me introduce you to the Crosby family. They are Chad, Melissa and Kaiya. They live right next door to us in our TVA apartments. I love this family!!!! They are so much fun and we have finally started doing a lot more things together, I don't know what my problem is, but it always seems to take awhile for me to really warm up to our neighbors, we have been friends since they moved in, but not till this past month have we really started hanging out, going places together and I am so glad we have, Kali just loves playing with Kaiya. They saved my life today, because Kali was just having a hard day, and I had had enough, I was seriously calling people trying to find a baby sitter for her so I could have some time away. For some reason everyone had their phone off, weird huh. I guessed I missed the memo, today was national turn off your phone day. Luckily Melissa didn't get the memo either because she was the ONLY one who had her phone on and she invited us to the beach with them, to Alligator Pond, which is so much fun, the rock you see in the pictures looks like an alligator and the girls had a fun time jumping off the end of it's nose. It was a nice way to end our day! Thanks Crosby's for being so awesome!

Krew at 2 months

Krew Ross Jones
13 lbs 6 oz
He is in the 100% for his height and weight!! He is going to be a big boy, daddy is proud. Today we took him to the beach and he got a taste of the water, he didn't like it so much at first but then he kind of just chilled. Don't worry all of you over protective mothers he was only out for a few minutes and he is not red at all. I knew if I did not clarify that I would get some hate mail!!JK Krew is such a happy boy, he smiles all the time, he smiled since the day he was born, but he loves to smile and I swear he laughed today. He loves to hear Kali's voice, he smiles every time she talks and plays with him, it is so precious. He has also rolled over 4 times already. He will be on his stomach and then roll over on his right side to his back, he favors that side, I haven't seen him roll to the left yet. I ventured out today with both children for the first time by MYSELF!! I was scared really scared. For our first excursion together I decided to go to one store and one store only, Costco, what a good choice, those food samples saved my life. Krew was an angel, and Kali gave me a little bit of a hard time but after putting some food in her mouth and letting her play with a few things and read a few books she was OK.

Time to get in Shape

I was looking for a picture of me after I had Kali but I couldn't find the one I was looking for and I figured Kali is way more fun to look at than me anyways, so enjoy seeing more cute pictures of her while I tell you of my exciting new routine!!! I am finally able to work out again!! Monday I started running in the morning at 6:00, when I got home, the kids woke up so I took them on a walk, then I came home made evey one breakfast and then the family went to the beach. After a little sun, the kids took a nap while I did my P90X workout and then got a few things done around the house, the kids woke up and we played out side, then I went swimming, did some laps at the pool, came home made dinner, Aaron helped!! Thank you baby!! Then we put the kids to bed and I crashed. What an awesome day though! I am ready to get this body back in shape. My wonderful husband came home from working out and massaged my feet while I was sleeping, he is amazing!!

Happy Mother's Day

Aaron made me a beautiful plumeria lei for mothers day, and the girls he works with made me the tea leaf lei, THANK YOU they were beautiful!

Here is a poem for all of you mothers out there, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

BEFORE I WAS A MOTHER
Before I was a mom
I made and ate hot meals.
I had unstained clothing.
I had quiet conversations on the phone.
I had romantic time with my hunny.

Before I was a Mom
I slept as late as I wanted.
and never worried about how late I got into bed.
I brushed my hair and my teeth everyday.

Before I was Mom
I cleaned my house each day.
I never tripped over toys or forgot words to lullabies.

Before I was a Mom
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom
I had never been
puked on
pooped on
spit on
chewed on
peed on
or pinched by tiny fingers.

Before I was a Mom
I had complete control
of my mind my thoughts my body and my mind.
I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom
I never held down a screaming child
so that doctors could do tests or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom
I never held a sleeping baby
just because I didn't want to put it down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces
when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom
I didn't know
the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a Mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important.

Before I was a Mom
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night
every 10 minutes to make sure all was ok.
I had never known the warmth the joy the love
the heartache the wonderfulment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much before I was a Mom.

Hukilau Beach

Our ward had a barbecue at Hukilau beach today. Before we headed off to the beach I had Aaron take some "before" pictures of me, I am able to start working out on Monday so I wanted some before and after pictures. Then Kali wanted a turn, and this is how she posed, it made Aaron and I laugh so hard, he was like, "where did she learn that?" I honestly don't know I didn't teach it to her, she is a natural. When we got to the beach we noticed they had Iosepa out on the water, it is the Hawaiian canoe, they launch every once in a while, it usually is found outside of the PCC. So I got some shots with Kali in front of the Iosepa. I was pretty excited because I lately have been wondering how you get the effect of shooting an object and having everything else around it blurry, I love that look. Well, I succeeded on accident today, but I love the results.
