Joke's on me:)
Sorry for those of you who read my "funny" blog about spanking, with out the picture. The pictures was the most important part:) I didn't realize the picture didn't upload correctly and that totally changes the joke to what some of you thought was my REAL opinion. I apologize. Just so you all know Aaron and I did discuss before we had children our opinion on this topic and we both agreed we didn't want to spank our children. Aaron has done an awesome job with that and has held to his end of the bargain. Sadly, I will admit my hand and Kali's little bum, bum have met:(
Marriage - A Divine Institution
Here is Janica's ring and I am still waiting for the pictures they took from "that night."
Along the lines with all this fun and excitement of getting married, one of my friends just posted her thoughts and feelings about marriage and also included some MUST READ material. Please take some time and read:
A Divine Institution
I couldn't have said it better myself. It is a scary world we live in, where Satan tries to cloud our judgment and make us try to down play the severity of what is really happening. I hope if you had any questions or were unsure of your stance on this, that the post was helpful. Thanks Melissa:)
Tough Love vs. Spanking - Good Argument
Most of the American populace thinks it improper to spank children, so I have tried other methods to control my kids when they have one of 'those moments.'
One that I found effective is for me to just take the child for a car ride and talk.
Some say it's the vibration from the car, others say it's the time away from any distractions such as TV, video games, computer, IPod, etc.
Either way, my kids usually calm down and stop misbehaving after our car ride together. Eye to eye contact helps a lot too.
I've included a photo below of one of my sessions with my son, in case you would like to use the technique.
Sincerely,
Your Friend

THEY ARE ENGAGED!!!!
Who is this beautiful couple you ask? You are looking at the next Mr. and Mrs. Seth Ellsworth. I am so excited for these two! They are perfect for each other. I have never seen Janica this happy before. He fits perfectly in our family we discovered when he came to our family reunion in August. They are getting married November 29th in the Salt Lake City Temple.
Congratulations Seth and Janica:)
Happy Birthday Veronica
My sister-in-law Veronica had her birthday on the 16th. My brother is so lucky to have her as a wife and I am so lucky to have another sister:) Veronica is such an amazing person, filled with so much compassion and patients. I have learned so much from her. She is an amazing mother of two precious little boys. She is so giving and selfless in all that she does. I love her so much!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIS!!
