Amazing Neighbors!!
This picture was taken by Angie Wynes, one of my amazing neighbors! She is such a talented person, she is crafty, she is a good photographer, a good singer and guitar player, a good cook and a wonderful friend! (I am sure she has many more amazing talents I have just not yet discovered them all.) I was a little nervous when my mom left because she would take Kali each day for me while I would rest and take care of Krew, but I don't know why I was worried, I have my amazing neighbors who will watch Kali for me anytime I am tired or need a break, who help take care of me. They must have all conspired together and decided not to sign up on the Relief Society list of bringing me dinners so that when my week was up they would all pick a day and bring me dinners for another week! I am so spoiled! And they have all been amazing by the way. We live in kind of a different situation than most people where we have two apartment buildings that face each other with a total of 16 apartments between the two buildings and everyday the kids go outside and play together between the buildings. It is a child's heaven, and I have learned a mothers heaven as well, I am so blessed to have these amazing neighbors who are also my best friends. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!

Explanation
I didn't dare try to write anything on the last blog. It was hard enough trying to get all the pictures to match up. So what do you think? They look pretty similiar, huh. I had thought about doing this and then Keiko asked me too so she could compare so I decided to get it done, Thanks Keiko for the nudge. :) A few other things I thought I would clarify, Deborah had asked about the two scars I now have from my two children. When I was two months pregnant with Kali I had an ovarian contortion (my ovary twisted) so I had a seven hour window in order to get into surgery before it would have died and I would have lost one of my ovaries. Luckily I was in surgery in the seven hour and my doctor saved my ovary. Yeah for my ovary!!! More importantly Kali was safe, (there is a high risk of miss carriage when you have surgery in your first trimester), but as I have now learned I will have one really scary bizarre thing happen with each of my children which leaves me with wonderfully healthy children and a pretty scar on my body. In both cases I guess you don't see many ovarian contortions or two knots in the umbilical cord, they see maybe one a year, so I am the lucky one, let me know if you know of any other bizarre things that happen during pregnancy or birth and I will just prepare myself for the next child.
Gecko
Kali and I were in the shower this morning and we saw this gecko run up the wall, it freaked out Kali but I quickly explained to her how gecko's are our friends because they eat cockroaches. For those of you who are non believers, I have witnessed it myself, one early morning about 3 am I went into the kitchen and saw something moving so I turned on the light to find a gecko with a cockroach in his mouth, I did a little dance of joy, I had heard this was the case but it was hard for me to believe that such a little guy would actually eat a cockroach, but they due and I love them for it. It makes me happy to hear them chirp and to know they are in my home taking care of the nasty roach population. After we finished our shower Kali kept running into the bathroom asking, "where the gecko go?" I explained to her that he was running around looking for his next cockroach victim! GO GECKO'S!!!!!!

Hawaiian Baby
For Kali we bought a lei for when she was born and took some naked pictures of her with the lei draped over her. So we did the same thing for Krew. Well almost, we bought him the lei but I am not brave enough to try any naked pictures with this little man just yet, he is a leaky faucet. Anytime his diaper comes off he is either shooting poop or hosing down himself, the poor person who is changing his diaper and everything else around him! So this is the best I could do so far. We will see if I get brave in the near future. Here are a few other fun pictures I took, he is so cute while he sleeps and he is constantly smiling, but I have yet to catch one of those precious moments on my camera.

Honolulu Zoo with Naveen Andrews
On Friday we took Kali and Krew to the Honolulu Zoo. We thought we would call our friend Naveen and his girl friend Barbara Hershey and his son Joshua to join us!! JK So what really happened is we were sitting on a bench having lunch when Naveen (Sayid from the show Lost) comes and sits down right by Kali, I first just saw his profile and I was thinking that is crazy that guy looks so much like Sayid from Lost, then he turned at looked at me and I was like, Oh that is Sayid from Lost. I thought in my head, I should ask him to get a picture with Kali, but then quickly decided to just leave him alone and let him enjoy a day with his family. So they went on their way and we went on our way. After we were almost done we ran into them again and my mom was like, "should I take his picture from right here?" I decided no lets just go ask him, so we did, he was really cool and at the time we didn't realize who is girlfriend was, but we looked him up when we got home and realized she was a movie star herself, Barbara Hershey, she is in the movie, "Beaches." I had a pretty relaxing day, but my mom got a workout pushing me around in a wheelchair. Thanks mom! I love taking Kali to the zoo she loves to see all of the animals and she is so entertaining.
