eggs anyone?

It was time for both kids to go down for a nap.  Krew went down easily as always and Kali did not, as always :)  Her excuse today as she was laying there was, "mom, I need some broccoli and ranch."  How could I refuse, this little girl doesn't eat much as it is, and to ask for broccoli.
OF COURSE YOU CAN :)
As she was eating her broccoli I received a call from my sister in law Veronica.  I had to go to the computer to help her with a few things over the phone.  After we had finished our conversation I went to go check on Kali and this is what I found:
She had successfully cracked and was mixing one dozen eggs.  I couldn't get mad at her she was so proud of herself, she didn't even make a mess and after checking for shells I only found two small ones.
 IMPRESSIVE :)

She also had some toast in the toaster, so when they were finished she buttered those while I cooked the eggs.  While we were cooking and spreading the butter Kali said, "mom, isn't this awesome?  We are working as a team."  :)  She is just so cute sometimes!!

Birthdays.

Happy Birthday Melissa!
We celebrated Melissa's birthday with an amazing cheese cake made by Chad.
It tasted like it was straight from the Cheese Cake Factory!

Happy Birthday Lili!!
Lili turned 4 and celebrated with a girls pajama party and sleep over.
It was the girls first sleep over, SO FUN!
They got their hair straightened by Melissa.
Nate was so thrilled to have all these crazy girls running around his house.  Tyken, Krew and Nate played together at the playground for most of the party :)
Thanks Mike and Angie for taking them.

Kali and Lili were so excited about the sleep over one of the first things they did was pretend to sleep:)

That didn't last long:)
Girls just want to have fun!

beautiful little Jocelyn at the party

Kim made them all princess crowns.

they got to make their own pizza's

We sang Happy Birthday!

and ate icecream

Lili opened her gifts

and in attempt to get them to relax and wind down after loads of sugar we had them watch a movie.

After all was said and done Brylie and Kali were the only ones left at Lili's home to try and actually sleep over and they didn't fall asleep until midnight on the mattress,
while Nate and Lili watched a movie until 1 am.
Kali woke up at 4 am and came home.
Brylie woke up the following morning at 8:30 am.  She made it! :)
It was a trial run to see if they could actually have sleep overs:)

Thanks Kim for such a fun party for the girls!!
And for being willing to let them have their trial sleep over at your house :)

a few quotes...

from the book "Small and Simple Things" by: Marjorie Hinckley

The trick is to enjoy life.  Don't wish away your days, waiting for better ones ahead.

Be kind.  Everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.

and few others quotes in the book by others:

No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.
Aesop, The Lion and the Mouse

What do we live for, if it is not to make life less difficult for each other?
George Elliot

On that note, THANK YOU Melissa for taking care of my laundry!
While I was out in the pouring rain trying to hold garbage in one hand and the laundry card and drier sheets in the other, all in one motion I was throwing my garbage in the dumpster and sort of slipped, half my garbage made it in, the other half did not and my laundry card had disappeared.  After cleaning up my garbage and looking intently for my laundry card that still had like $15.00 on it, there was no hope.  I could not find it.  I ran upstairs and crabbed another card and more money to put on it.  I felt like I should go look one more time for the card just to make sure I just hadn't over looked it.  Was it in the garbage, no.  Sure enough it was right on top face down.
Sweet!
On my way to the laundry room, I walk in and Melissa is standing there just finishing up.  She had put all of my clothes in the drier and paid to dry them for me.  She even pulled out all of Aaron's shirts that EVERYONE in E house knows have to hang dry.

I am pretty sure my mouth just dropped open.
MELISSA YOU ARE SO AMAZING!  THANK YOU THANK YOU!

worst case scenario

We have been going through Kali's room and getting things cleaned out and trying to figure out what to sell right now and what to keep until we leave.  While we were doing this, Kali said several times, "Worst case scenario, we could just buy another one in Washington."

Kali loves to carry her baby with her everywhere we go.  She is such a good mommy!
I believe if you are curious what you sound like to your child or how you parent, just watch how your child interacts with her toy baby.  It is quit comical :)
Kali put on this wig the other day and said, "Look mom, I am a Jonas Brother!"
