Sick Day

This is my sick little girl, she woke up this morning at 7 a.m., yes 7 a.m.! AAAAAUUUGGGGG! I know most of you mothers are saying quit whining that is what time we get up every morning or earlier, well I am getting all the sleep I can before this child comes and Kali doesn't normally get up until 9 a.m. so a couple hours makes a big difference. Continuing on, she woke up at 7 a.m. this morning with an uncontrollable cough which was followed by throwing up a couple of times all over herself and me, since I was holding her. I tried giving her cough medicine and a throat losinger but nothing seemed to help. My wonderful neighbor Mary heard her and asked if I needed any medicine or anything. I was open to any suggestions or medicine. I was thinking if she doesn't stop doing this do I take her to the hospital? Since it is Sunday? Luckily after I had her take some medicine and had her drink plenty of water and made her waffles for breakfast the throwing up stopped. She still has a crazy cough but we took a good four hour nap this afternoon and that always helps, getting sleep! So the sippy cup she is holding in the picture is from Krew's baby shower, it is a CARS sippy cup and she thought it was so cool and she wanted to use it, even though she hasn't used a sippy cup since she was, I don't know, a year and a half old and she never gets liquid in her bed but she wanted it in the picture.

Anyway, I hope everyone else's sabbath day was a little more spiritual and relaxed then mine.

Little Thug

I have been inspired by my friend Angie to do better at journaling my blog. I love reading her blog and it keeps her family updated and your kids do so many fun and new things each day this is a awesome way to keep a journal of their life! Thanks Angie! So lets start today, NESTING is setting in big time for me with 13 days left till Krew is due, I woke up and just started cleaning the house, every room had to be in order and I started organizing drawers until Kali woke up, if she had slept longer I am sure this house would be totally spotless every cupboard and drawer in order. Kali's new thing as soon as she wakes up is she wants to go to the playground or go outside and MY new thing is I want both her and I to have breakfast, shower, get dressed, brush our teeth, do our hair and make-up and be in order and have the house in order, beds made, etc. before we leave the house. So as you can imagine we but heads in the morning. Luckily she is really into helping right now so if I am clever enough and let her help and be a part of EVERYTHING, making breakfast, cleaning dishes, putting on make-up, help me pick out my clothes, etc. I get more things done that I would like too.

After we got ready Kali got to go to the playground where we say Auntie Erin (Kali is obsessed with Erin right now so she was excited to see her) who was watching Eli, Seth and Jacob (our neighbors). After awhile of playing it was getting hot and time for me to get home and get ready for my BABY SHOWER!!!! Which Erin and Hillary put on for me. Thanks girls! I will have those pictures posted shortly as soon as I get them from Erin:) hint, hint:) Aaron and Kali went to the beach together while I was at the shower. It was cute because Aaron asked Kali what she wanted to do today, go with mommy or daddy to the beach and she wanted daddy. I was afraid she wouldn't choose that because she has not been a huge fan of the beach lately, but she wanted to spend time with her dad!!!!! She loves her daddy!

At the baby shower we played three fun games, one where Hillary grabbed a diaper bag full of stuff that I put together that I would need for Krew in the hospital and we started going through it franticly, dumping everything out acting like we were looking for something and everyone was like what do you need we might have it, it was really funny everyone was so concerned and then we quickly put everything back in the bag and asked them to right everything they remember seeing. Some of the girls said they didn't even pay attention to what we had pulled out because they were so concerned about what it was I needed. LOL, it was funny! Congratulations Ashlyn she won that one and remembered almost everything!! Then they wrote down as many sports and they could think of in two minutes, since of course the shower was sports theme, Aaron will only allow our son to wear sports apparel or clothes without any design on them. He does not want him in animals or things like that. Congrats Taylor won that one. Last but not least every one had to cut a piece of yarn as big as they thought my belly was. Now this game is interesting, it made me realize when you are pregnant people think you look really big!!:) JK everyone did pretty good but the winner was Stefani a fellow prego, we are pretty much the same size.

Now to explain the Thug pictures, from the baby shower Krew got this cute basketball jersey and Kali was helping me put all of his clothes and things away and as soon as she saw this outfit she was like Auntie Cori! My sister plays basketball for BYU-Provo and Kali loves to watch her and she noticed this was the same thing Auntie Cori wears so she had to put it on and wanted to call her and show her on skype. It was so cute, she was dancing and running around, she thought it was so cool!! Also, the beenie she said she had to put on because it was too windy. ?? We were in the house. ??

Gymnastics Tuesdays

Kali always goes to gymnastics on Tuesdays, so she calls it gymnastics Tuesdays. She has been doing such a good job and this last week they worked on the bars, she learned to bring her feet up all the way to the bars by herself and then they had her try to hold her self up on the bar which took her a couple tries to get the idea and then we had her hang from the high bar and lift her legs up to straddle position which she did! She is amazing!! It is so fun to watch her. Go Kali!! And, THANKS to Grandma Tami for the fun new leotards!:)

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY MONTH of MARCH!!!!

So this is the month for everyone's 1st birthdays and Kali is LOVING all of the parties!!! On Sat. the 1st we went to Brody's party, which was a blast, they had a slippery slide and a pinata, banana splits and it was right next to the beach so we got to play in the water as well, it was so much fun!!!! After his party we ran over to David's party which was more water fun and soccer balls, cupcakes, cookie decorating and Kali got her cheek and arm painted with hearts. She thought is was so cool! Then today we went to Brielle, Nate and Elijah's joint 1 year old bash with more water fun and it was next to the play ground so the kids were well entertained and they had lots of good food! Kali and Bella had a fun time together in the kiddie pool. Kali is so cute when she hugs other kids she always squats down to do it, which is better than trying to hug them around the neck which she used to do!! Good job Kali! March is a huge birthday month for the Jones family, upcoming birthday's, Aaron's Aunt Jen, his mom Tami, is Aunt Sandy, his Mommier, his Dad David, and now Krew is due this month!!!! Another important birthday we must not forget this month is my good friend HILLARY WILLIAMS!!!!

A day at the beach with Daddy

"Certain is it that there is no kind of affection so purely angelic as of a father to a daughter.
In love to our wives there is desire;
to our sons, ambition; but to our daughters there is something which there are no words to express."

My little helper

Kali loves to help me around the house. Anytime she hears me start to clean the dishes she runs in the kitchen and says, "help, dishes." Then she pulls her chair up next to me and goes to work. She is so sweet! When I am vacuuming same thing she wants to come help and even when I start cleaning her room she wants to help. She is such a good little girl. Along with all this helping comes miss independent, she also wants to do EVERYTHING herself. We were at the mall the other day and she needed to go the bathroom but she would not let me come in with her she had to do it all by herself. This was the first time she did this so I was trying to peek through the cracks and make sure she was O.K. I also did a few jumps trying to look over the stall to make sure she didn't need help. I am sure I looked really funny. End result, she passed with flying colors, she did it all by her self, without any help, she was so proud of herself and I was so proud of her too!! My little girl is growing up.
