my yearly episode

So this is not the best picture, but I have to take my annual picture and journal what is going on so I can remember and know what to tell the doctor.  From researching the past, looks like I got lucky and skipped a big episode in 2010, It flared up again the beginning of May and my normal steroid drops did not do the trick, I spend a sleepless night in pain about a week ago, I could not decide whether to go to the ER or what to do.  After a blessing from Aaron and some Ibuprofen i was able to get a couple hours of sleep.  I made an appointment the next morning to see my doctor who just gave me some migraine medicine to stop the pain and set me up the an eye specialist, who just started from the beginning.  Prescribed me with omnipred every half an hour (not realistic) and an eye relaxing drop 4 times a day and to see him in a week. Since we are moving to Utah in a couple weeks, I won't be going to that appointment, I will just start seeing a specialist in Utah, who maybe if I pray hard enough will be able to help me figure something out before I go blind.  Every time I have an episode my eye color changes to a bright green.  My vision is blurring, I have a cloud over my eye and lots of floating black spots.  Since my first episode in July of 2008 I have never regained clear vision in that eye.

Kolt

It is kind of depressing to me trying to blog again.
I am just so far behind, I don't know how to catch up and most days it feels to overwhelming,
so I just don't do it.  Leaving me even farther behind. HELP!
I have had these pictures on my desk top for a few weeks now so I thought I
better put them on the blog.
My little man Kolt.
He is a moocher.
Eats every 2 to 3 hrs.
The longest he has slept so far is 4 hours and he is 3 months on March 11.
I still need to take him in to his 2 month dr. appointment.  I am a slacker.
He loves to talk to me by making cute baby noises,
he smiles and laughs which just brightens my day.
He loves the bath.
If he is fussy, I just put him in the bath and he will sit and kick his little legs and moves his arms
for as long as I will let him.

 Our little football player.
I am pretty sure Aaron sneaks protein powder into his bottle
and is already having him do push ups.
check out those muscles.

grandpa's litte girl

Kali absolutely LOVES her grandpa.
She gets so excited when he comes to WA to visit us.
When he is here she wakes up early in the morning
so she can spend some time with him before he leaves for work.
She squeals with excitement when he returns home from work
and loves when he chases her around the house and flips her around.
She loves to cuddle up with him and watch a movie, or even take a nap,
(which we all know is the result  from watching a movie;)
This little girl LOVES her time with grandpa.

Kolt's baby blessing

Kolt was blessed on December 26th in Basin City 2nd Ward.
The same ward I grew up in.
Tamara one of my best friends growing up also blessed her little girl
and Shandiin blessed her little girl.
So with three baby blessings and two mission farewells, Blake Neilson and Michael Casper
the church was PACKED.
I had to move to the front of the chapel to hear Aaron bless Kolt
since they speakers in the back
were not working.
It was a beautiful blessing and Kolt slept the whole time.

We have a family pic I need to post but it is on my mom's camera, so I will get that soon and post it.

My new normal

I have three kids now.  THREE.  It will take awhile for me to get use to this.
For some reason this was really helpful when
Joyce Rowley (My neighbor and I am a Laurel Advisor with her)
told me three was my new normal.
I guess it helped me realize this was my new life,
things were not going to change or EVER go back to the way they were before.
My new normal.
Kali loves to carry Kolt around,
especially up and down the stairs.
I guess it makes her fill like a big girl.
Krew has now decided he is a strong boy and picks Kolt up when he is crying,
no I don't allow Krew to carry Kolt up and down stairs,
in fact I head toward Krew and Kolt in a dead sprint and soon as Krew picks him up.
I guess that is why I don't have pics of Krew walking and carrying Kolt,
maybe next time in my dead sprint I will grab my camera and snap a running shot,
we will see how that turns out.
Hillary sent me these amazing swaddle blankets my aden&anais.
They can be used for so many different things.
I am never good at swaddling my babies for very long,
but I have learned that when Kolt is really cranky
if I just swaddle him and sway him he calms down and even falls to sleep after awhile.
