Krew Ross Jones

I have finally had a few minutes to sit down and add some pictures of our handsome new addition!! My hospital stay was much longer than anticipated and the whole experience was not what I had planned. Lets just say we are very blessed that Heavenly Father has allowed us to raise this little man. To make A LONG story short, I was induced on Thursday at 6:30 am, Dr. Schutte broke my water at 1:00 pm by 4:00 pm I was in the operating room getting a C-section and at 4:59 pm Krew was born!! I know you are all thinking hold on, WHAT?? I was dilated to a 8 when his heart started dropping every time I had contractions, after about 15 min of this they quickly stopped the pitosin gave me a shot to stop my contractions and was on my hands and knee's until Dr. Schutte arrived and yes I was praying like crazy, PLEASE let this little one make it. With the O.R. team on stand by and one more try of starting my contractions with the same result I was quickly wheeled off to the operating room where we found out he has not one but TWO knots in his umbilical cord! Thank goodness I was induced a day early and thank goodness it all turned out all right, like I said, Heavenly Father has blessed us!! He is such an awesome little baby, he is so mellow and he smiles all the time in his sleep, he is so CUTE!!! Having one scar from each of my children is a small price to pay for the joy that have brought to the Jones Family.

I am glad too hear you are all ok. What a precious baby boy. What a blessing! I have been worried about you, and checking your blog daily wondering what was happening, I am glad it is over and you can get on to recovering. Take it easy, if you can!

So glad to see Krew! He is adorable! WOW what a scary time for your family. We're so glad that all has gone well. Thank goodness for modern day medicine and knowledge. Have fun with your mother there and take advantage of all of the SLEEP as much as possible!

Congratulations! He is so adorable. Those pictures with him and Kali are just too cute. I'm so grateful everything turned out well for you. I got goosebumps reading that post. I'm so grateful for modern medicine. I'm so glad that you and baby Krew are okay. I know with my delivery of McKay, it really made me realize how fragile a life is, and I also realize that 100 years ago, neither McKay or I would have made it. So I'm grateful for that. Cherish this time with your little man, and know that the c-section recovery is NOT THAT BAD. I'd have a c-section over labor ANY DAY OF THE WEEK! Also, just FYI, your feeling in your stomach doesn't come all the way back, ever. Not to scare you, just know that. I didn't know that at all. Apparently I'm an idiot when it comes to these sorts of things! If you have any other c-section questions for post-deliver, I'm here for ya! Btw, did I mention the recovery is NOT THAT BAD? but then again, I've never had a regular birth. I'll stop yapping now! Congrats to you and Aaron and little Kali of course! He's adorable!

Way to go Mom, he is already a total hottie!! It is so scary how things can get so scary so fast. It helps us remember what really matters and who we should always be relying on. He is so sweet, I am sure you are glad to be home and getting back to normal life, well new normal anyway!

Hi Shanae... so I stalk you blog!! I hope you don't mind (we were in the same classes at BYUH.) I just wanted to say congratulations on your little boy! Reading your story reminded me of when I had my little boy, the whole heart rate, hands and knees, c-section. Isn't it such a blessing that they can do c-sections now days!! Your little girl is adorable too! Anyway, congrats and hope you get feeling great soon!

First of all congratulations! I have been anxiously checking your blog for the story and pictures of course. I am so glad to hear that both you and Krew are now healthy. That is so scary and you have been on my mind and in my prayers...I think being so close to delivery myself has made it all seem a little more real. We truly are blessed to have these little ones in our lives and what a privlege it is to act as their parents, even when they are usually the ones teaching us! Congratulations, I am so happy for you and he really is beautiful...and that's saying a lot for a newborn! :)

Two scars for two kids.... It's the best! I'm glad I have a fellow c-section friend. If you need anything or have any weird questions for me, I'll be here in W building for whatever you need. Congrats! He's a good looking guy.

the picture of Kali kissing Krew. I remember you talking about hoping you would get as cute of pics with Krew as you did with Brendan. I don't think that will be a problem now!! We are so happy for you guys. We will be bugging you again soon, we just thought you could use a little settling in time. Soon you and I can sit around and just nurse... since that seems to be all you do in those first few weeks anyway.
LOVE YOU!

I love love the picture of Kali kissing Krew. Krew is so handsome, and I bet Kali is best sister for him. Of course you are the best mom, best aunty or best second mom for all the kids, so I'm pretty sure she got that part from you :) By the way, baby boys are not "cute baby" according to James, they are "coool baby"
