Aloun Farms Pumpkin Patch

The pony ride was the first thing on Kali and Brylie's agenda when we got to the pumpkin patch. After we purchased their tickets they had to stand in line for awhile which they did so arms folded and oh so patiently:) They just repeated about every two seconds, "We want to go on the pony ride." Which we replied, "You will, we just have to wait till all the kids in front of us go first." They both needed to hold their tickets, so they would be ready the second it was their turn:) Finally, the time had come and Kali got to ride a pony named, Lightning. She did it all by herself, I didn't even walk around with her, she is a seasoned rider you know, this is like her fourth pony ride. Kali and Brylie had to bring their babies on the trip, they didn't want them to miss out. While standing in line for the hayride, Kali saw this dog that she just ran over too and wanted to pet, which is a HUGE step for her because she normally is really excited to see dogs, but too afraid to pet them, because they might bite her. When Kali, Brylie and Kaiya came running back, Kali was so excited, she pet the dog and it didn't even bite her, YAY Kali! The long awaited hayride was a little too long and the girls quickly got over the whole experience and were ready to get off and pick that "perfect" pumpkin. When they did start looking for their pumpkins Kali picked out a nice size one and tried to lift it, when she realized how heavy it was she quickly decided it was over rated and for the rest of the time only chose, "her size ones." So she picked four small ones. Then I asked her to pick one big one out for me so we could carve one and she found me the beauty you see pictured at the top. I had to carry it of course:) I can't wait to carve it.

How fun! We so wish the kids were here to go to the Harvest Festival at our Country Mercantile. Maybe someday it will happen. Yesterday, we had the biggest day we have ever had. There's definitely something about horses. I really remember loving them as a girl & of course you did too, Shanae. I haven't ridden one for along time & have the urge to do so, but don't know when that will happen anytime soon. Always love your pics, they say so much! Love you all bunches too!!

ISn't it amazing what a difference a year makes for a kid...Kallie has definately grown up and changed so much in a year! Looks like she had a blast with friends at the pumpkin patch. You're such a fun, adventurous mom Shanae taking them to all sorts of things! Kallie and Krew are lucky to have you!

Kali's pigtails are so cute. Like little puffs of cotton candy.
